The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking four advanced practice providers to work at the WakeBrook campus in Raleigh, NC. In addition to a Crisis and Assessment clinic operating at all times, the campus consists of a 16 bed acute inpatient unit (opening July 1, 2013) and two 16 bed residential units that provide facility based crisis services, non-hospital medical detoxification, and substance abuse treatment. These are full-time, fixed term Clinical Instructor positions. The expectation for these positions will be the provision of direct medical care to residents of Wake County who are being treated for a variety of psychiatric and substance use conditions. Education, training, experience:
Applicants must have completed an approved Physician Assistant Training Program, have received and maintained certification, and be eligible for North Carolina licensure. The successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and prior experience working with acutely ill psychiatric and substance using patients.
